Scott Alexander

From Both Sides of the Fence

Scott Alexander, usually dressed in blue and racing the #15 Pro Stock car since 2000, has now donned the official staff uniform. Alexander has taken on the task of race director and operations manager of the top Tour in North America, the Carquest Maritime Pro Stock Tour.

“It’s different being on the other side. It’s funny to have my car sitting there and not getting into it. It’s really funny, it used to be a lot of fun.” (His car has now been decked out in the official Pro Stock colours and is being used as the show car at Pro Stock events).

Alexander went on to say “Everyone on my team basically came with us on the Tour. I’ll have to see what it’s going to be like.”

As for changes on the Tour, Alexander continued “Really didn’t make any changes, just a couple of things with the tire rules. There was enough changes with the staff. You don’t want to upset the applecart. We’ll try to keep everything going as smooth as we can. It’s like the old saying, “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.” With a plus 30 car count every race, I don’t think anything’s broke.”

“There will be twelve races with three 250 lappers and nine regular races”. With that, cars started going on the track for testing and Alexander had to leave to do his duties.
