Matt Moore

Anyone that has been following the Legends machines has probably seen the number 1 patrolling the oval at Scotia.

“I’ve been racing the number 1 for three years. This number was on the car when I bought it.”

As to how he’s doing this year “I’m in fifth place currently.”

As for accidents, Moore started off the season with one. “I crashed the first race. I got tangled up with the roll of the number 15 when it went upside down and tore my right front wheel off.”

When asked if he had anything to add, a voice from the background said “Hope for good weather”

Jeff Atkinson

Jeff Atkinson has also been behind the wheel of a Legend car for three years, his being the number 15. “It just looked like fun so we bought a car and put my girlfriend’s birthday date (15) on it.”

With no championships or long history in racing, the next question was about accidents. “A month ago, at Scotia, on the last lap of the 50 lap feature, I flipped upside down on the front stretch.”

At this time, Atkinson was sixth or seventh in points.
