Results from Oyster Bed Speedway June 26th                                                                                             LOOK

LOCKHART TRUCK CENTER 100 THIS SATURDAY AT SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD
(Halifax, NS, June 29, 2010) The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour returns to Halifax this Saturday, July 3rd, for the Lockhart Truck Center 100.  Canada’s best stock car drivers are ready to storm Scotia Speedworld with their 500 plus horsepower machines.  The Lockhart Truck Center 100 is the third race of eleven for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour and one of only four appearances in Halifax this season.  Grandstands open at 3:00 pm; Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials will run at 5:10 pm with the green flag set to fall at 6:00 pm. 
The 10th anniversary season for the touring series is starting to heat up, with less than 50 points separating the top ten drivers, and less than 15 points separating the top five. 2009 Champion, Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) currently sits atop the championship points standing with 405 points. Close to 30 drivers will attempt to qualify for Saturday nights main feature at the 3/10 mile D shaped oval, located just outside of Halifax, NS. Opening the show is the Maritime League of Legends Tour who will run a 50 lap feature prior to the Lockhart Truck Center 100.

CARQUEST PRO STOCK TOUR DELAYED OVER NIGHT FOR PARTS FOR TRUCKS 100
The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour’s Parts For Trucks 100 has been delayed until Sunday, June 27 at 2pm due to rain. Only one car remained for the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials (#45 Leonard Boutilier) when the rain started up again and were unable to dry the track again.

The new web site is updated daily and all Brad’s races will be updated as they are happening on twitter. Brad’s next race is a 100 lapper on July 4th At Florence Speedway in South Carolina. Then onto Tri County Speedway in NC for a race on the 9th. We drive home on the 10th .
On July 11th there will be a fund raiser to raise money to help support Brad’s racing effort.                         DETAILS HERE

Amherst's Ryan Mackintosh raced Sunday at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina.
     The #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero qualified in 3rd on time and finished the feature in 3rd place. Sunday's field was a very strong one with drivers from all over the United States visiting the Mid-Atlantic States to participate in the Summer Shootout at Charlotte. 
     "I am happy with the finish. The team has worked very hard to get the primary car back on the track after last week's issues. They did a great job!", stated Mackintosh in a post race interview.
     The Chris Woods Racing Team will be back in action on Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The following day Mackintosh will be travelling home to Nova Scotia for a six day vacation before returning to North Carolina to continue the season.

Race #2 of Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway
#03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero Started 24th and finished 7th in 20 lap feature.
The #03 had to start at the back of the field as a penalty for an on track incident with another driver in Race# 1 of the series.

The following Press Releases from AOW Modified Series came out today Friday June 11th:
CORPORATE NIGHT
A corporate night is being planned for either late June or August for media, sponsors etc. They will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel for a few “hot” laps, to see what all the excitement is all about. More details will be released in the next few days, as plans are firmed up.

The evolution car of the AOW MODIFIEDS to debut on July 4th at Centre for Speed
The second generation “AOW Modified” racecar is off the drawing board and a demonstration vehicle is nearing completion. Plans are to display this car later this season with a tentative date of July 4th. Fans will have the opportunity to express their views, comments, and suggestions at this event

Second Media race also planned:
Due to instant demand, plans are in the works for a second Media race to be held on August 29th. More details on this event will be released as soon as they become available.

Celebrity Race on July 4th:
During the July 4th event at Centre for Speed, The AOW Modified series will be holding a celebrity race between the media of C103 and XL96. 4 DJ’s from the two stations will participate, along with 2 listeners who will be chosen through a contest at the two stations.

AOW “MODIFIED” series Announced:
The AOW released details today on a 5 race Mini-Series for their Modifieds to be held at CFS. The first race in this series will be held on Sunday July 4th starting at 2pm and is sponsored by Riverview Tire. The official title for this series will be the “AOW MODIFIED CHALLENGE SERIES.
   The other races in this series will be held on July 10th, July 31st, August 15th, and August 29th. This races are part of the regular points championship schedule and points earned will be used both for the Mini Series and the regular season championship. All drivers are anxiously awaiting the start of the season and the start of this “special” event as well.

DQ Kids Day Postponed!!!
Fredericton, NB - With the forecast rain and showers starting at noon today and running well into Sunday night officials at Speedway 660 have decided to postpone tonight’s DQ Kids Day events.   There is no Sunday rain date for this event so look for an update this week on the rescheduling of the DQ Kids Day activities.
       Don’t forget next week is the Pro All Stars Series PASS 200, one of the highlights of the 2010 season.  After 2009’s event this is definitely a race you won’t want to miss.  200 laps of pure pro stock power!!

Lucas Oil 100 Postponed
 Due to inclimate weather today's Lucas Oil 100, CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour race has been postponed. The race has tentatively been rescheduled for 6pm on August 21 at Scotia Speedworld. Date and time to be confirmed.

As of 9am this morning, sunny skies will greet visitors to Petty Autofest, being held at the Hall of Fame today. Come on down and have a look.

Petty Autofest is slated to go on Saturday June 5th starting at 9am if the weather cooperates. A final decision will be made on saturday morning at 9am. Stay tuned !!!
