2nd on Sunday At Concord for Ryan Macintosh The #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero was back in action on Sunday making up a schedule date rained out in the spring. Much like on Friday night, Ryan Mackintosh started 10th in the qualifying heat and was able to gain 6 positions in 8 laps to give him a starting position on the outside of Row #2. The #03 car was shuffled back to 5th on the start and it took nearly 10 laps for hime to work his way back through the field to 2nd. By the time Mackintosh began to run down the #4 car it had nearly a straightaway lead. The Chris Woods Racing driver pushed to get everything out of the car and was able to quickly close the gap but unfortunately ran out of laps. This second place finish was enough to push Ryan Mackintosh into sole posession of 4th place in INEX United States points.
Welcome back Malcolm (Mac) O’Blenis: Yesterday at Centre for Speed, Super Sportsman driver Mac O’Blenis made his return to the race track. Mac woke up one morning in January 2008 paralysed from the waist down due to a severely herniated disk in the lower region of his spine. After a very painful surgery and lengthy recovery period, Mac decided to give it a go. He stayed out of the pack so as not to cause any problems and survived, bringing the car home in one piece. Rumour has it that Mac plans to run the Sportsman 150 at Speedway 660 next weekend. We wish you all the best in this endeavour Mac!!!
Blue Mountain Speedway results: Blue Mountain Speedway held it's second annual tough truck competition with a smaller number of trucks competing this year compared to 2009. Macky Coombs was the winner in the Superstock and the Open class. Jeremy Pitre had the fastest time (40.08 second) and was the winner of the Stock class. Patricia MacDonald was the winner of the Modified class. One competitor rolled his truck over twice while running the course! There were no injuries and a loud round of applause was heard when they emerged from the truck! Also competing were the 4cylinder and mini-stock with Glen Morisson and Rejean Saulnier picking up the checkers.
Mike Raeburn wins Homestead Challange Series for AOW at Centre for Speed. Shelley Stewart finished second while Mark Price came in Third in the four race series.

Steve Rogers is building a Dynasty Steve Rogers, the former driver of the #42 Sportsman at Speedway 660, River Glade and Centre for Speed, who developed eye problems a few years ago, and who eventually retired from driving as a result, turned the controls over to his son Matt a short year or so ago. Matt, who at the time, was driving a four cylinder at River Glade and Centre for Speed, in turn passed the controls of this machine over to younger brother Andrew. Saturday, at Speedway 660, Matt was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” title. Not finished yet, Matt arrived bright and early this morning at Centre for Speed, where he has also been racing this Summer, and wrapped up the “Rookie of the Year” title there as well. Not bad for a youngster only fifteen. This story doesn’t end here either. Younger brother Andrew, who is also racing at Centre for Speed in the “Four Fun” class, captured the “Rookie of the Year” title in this class as well. Andrew is just fourteen. That’s three titles in the space of 24 hours by the two Rogers teenagers. To my knowledge, this has never been done before. It looks like the “Rogers” name might be around for quite a while. Congratulations, both of you!!!
Thank You from the Racing Spectator: This was a tough weekend for us at the Racing Spectator. When we left for Speedway 660 Saturday morning, the exhaust system let go on us. We wired it up with some hay wire but it was certainly a deafening ride to the track. Once there, George Jamieson and the crew of the 44 Sportsman very kindly offered to help us out. They stopped what they were doing and did some pitside welding on the exhaust, making the rest of the trip much more enjoyable and safe. We thank you so much, George and crew. The job held perfectly and we are back home safe and sound. We will remember this for a very long time, my friends. Bruce and Bea

Mackintosh 2nd at United States Bandolero Nationals Amherst, Nova Scotia native Ryan Mackintosh finished on the podium at United States Bandolero Nationals at Texas Motor Speedway. Mackintosh is the first Canadian ever to capture a podium finish at any INEX US National event in either Bandoleros or Legends. Mackintosh started the feature on the outside pole after qualifying third on time and winning his heat race. The 25 lap feature would see the lead change four times with Mackintosh leading 11 laps before giving up the point on lap 20. Clayton Green, of Houston Texas, was able to hold Mackintosh off on a late charge which saw both cars make contact coming out of turn 4 and heading to the finish line. "I had a great car and tried to get everything out of it", commented Mackintosh,"we got a bit tight in the last few laps and it made it really tough to cross him over". "It is tough to have it so close and not get the win but I am proud of what Woody and I have been able to do", concluded the Canadian driver.
Redemption for Ryan Macintosh: Thursday night at Texas Motor Speedway saw Ryan Mackintosh dominate in the feature race and take the checkered flag only to have it taken away. INEX rules, for safety, are not to allow a car to have clutch shoes become too thin. The #03 went through tech and had two shoes under the allowed thickness. The shoe that cost Mackintosh the win was 1/1000th of a mm too thin as INEX will allow one of the three shoes to be undersized. Friday the team focused on getting back to the winner circle and keeping the win. They did just that. Mackintosh won his heat race and started pole in the main feature. Mackintosh held the lead for 3 laps before being passed on a restart and falling to 3rd place. Mackintosh battled back and grabbed the lead two laps later and then held the lead over the remaining laps to capture the win. The win gives Mackintosh his 4th win in 5 attempts. The clutch shoe wear cost the driver a chance at 5 straight. "I am happy with the win but tomorrow is what we are here for", commented Mackintosh referring to US Nationals which will take place Saturday evening at Texas Motor Speedway.

Friday The 13th Has A Happy Ending for Ryan Macintosh (Concord, NC): The #03 Scotia Hyundai Bandolero, Chris Woods Racing and driver Ryan Mackintosh all seem to be enjoying good luck on what is normally a bad luck day. Friday the 13th proved to be just another day at the track for the team as they ran there win streak to three."We are not getting great breaks we are just not having everything go against us", stated Mackintosh in a phone interview from inside the team hauler after the race. Crew Chief Chris "Woody" Woods added,"the car was good on the restarts and we were able to bring it home." The race had four cautions and Mackintosh had to survive the challenge of the #13 car on each restart. This is the third race in row that the team from the Florida Keys and driver Ryan Shattuck ended up in the runner position to the #03 team. "There isn't much difference in our cars, Shattuck kept the pressure on all race", commented a happy but exhausted Mackintosh. The schedule has had the team race three races in four nights.

Mackintosh Wins At Charlotte Motor Speedway In his final Summer Shootout event of 2010, Ryan Mackintosh was able to pilot the Scotia Hyundai Bandolero home in first place. The Chris Woods Racing team consistantly had one of the fastest cars in the series but bad luck had seemed to follow the Amherst driver. Mechanical problems and some bad break incidents on the track looked like it might have Mackintosh end the series without a victory but tonight that all changed. Mackintosh finished second in his heat race and this slotted the #03 into the pole position with the inversion of the top 6 based on points. The Canadian driver never relinquished the lead as he endured two restarts during the 20 lap Main Feature.
Mark Price is in need of a rear axle for a 7 1/2 rear end. Anyone have one?
