Marcos Ambrose, of Launcestor, Tasmania, now making his home in Canappolis, North Carolina, started his racing career like so many others, in go-karts. After winning four go-kart championships, he won the British Formula Series. He also raced the V8 Supercar Series, winning 27 races in Australian road race series, and now a Sprint Cup driver.
“I like racing NASCAR. Short track racing is different from Indie, but it is all fun to me, it doesn’t matter what.”
Ambrose was asked what he thought of Nova Scotia. “ Nova Scotia is so pretty. I’ve never seen so much greenery. This facility is great. The family I’m with is great, and I’m having a lot of fun.”
The IWK 250 each year send their guest driver and some of the local drivers to the IWK to entertain the children for a day. Marcos was asked about this experience.
