Facility Rental Information

Due to the fact the track is now operated by the Southwestern Stock Car Association (SSCA) free open practice will no longer be available.A lot of time, money, donations and hard work has been put into the track the last few weeks. We have all seen what unsupervised practice sessions bring.I have personally cleaned rocks, dirt, tires, trailers and cars off the track or in the case of one particular car out of the tire wall a couple times.I am not the only one that have done this thankless task. The people that volunteer there spare time to try and make this track look nice and respectable don't deserve to have people use it at will and leave their trash behind for others to pick up.It's just shows lack of respect. Not all do this but sadly  because of the abuse of a few all will end up to suffer.Because of this abuse that has gone on for so long the track will be rented by appointment only from now on.

That being said so this is not to much of a shock to everyone that has become use to this free sand box mentality,we will be having 3 free open practices. The first one will be Sunday October 4th.Pit opens at 8 am and closes at 5 pm.Next practice will be Sunday October 11th,same times as previous Sunday. The last free open practice of 2009 will be Friday October 16th,the day before race day.All other days will be open for renting depending on availability of a supervisor. This will come as a shock to some but this is a business and needs to be operated as such.No other track in North America offer free random practice. We are going to follow the same example.

This is not aimed to punish anyone. This was decided for the soul purpose of saving what we have built. We are planing other events but if every year we have to fix the abuse that piles up over the months the track is being used at will we will never gain and nothing will get done. Our group of volunteers is getting smaller every year. The few we have left are all ready to walk away from LDMS if this style of free for all track use or abuse continues. It is just not fair to the people that work so hard to upkeep this track.

Below are the rules and regulations for rentals.Thank you for your understanding.

Track will not be available from September 27th to October 3rd because of continued track renovations.

1....Appointments will be required.

2....No one under 16 years of age permitted in the pits even if rented. They may sit in the front stretch grand stands providing they are of age to be alone or supervise by an adult.

3....There will be a  fee of 25$ an hour  or 4 hour sessions for 75$.

4....Rental fee has to be paid before the practice session begins.

5....A release form will have to be filled out completely before entering the facility.

6....All practice sessions will be supervised.

7....The person(s) supervising will not be permitted to do any work for the client on his car or equipment.

8....Cars will be inspected for leaks and safety.

9....Any fluid leaks on the track will be cleaned at the expense of the client.

10...Any damage to the facility by the client/crew will be the clients responsibility.

11...If a tow truck is required it will be at the client's expense.

12...The client will require to have at least one crew member with him or her, with a cell phone for in  case of emergency.

13...No alcohol or drugs will be permitted anywhere on the LDMS grounds.

14...The client and crew member(s) after signing the release form are on the property at their own risk and release any and all responsibilities from the SSCA.

15...More then one car can share the time slot. There will be a limit of 3 cars so no intense racing is      encouraged to help limit damage to the facility.

16...Please respect the work that has been done and don't do unnecessary spinning of tires in the pit  area. The track being built on a hill is very sensitive to loose dirt rots caused be spinning tires. This causes big rots or ditches when it rains that are very hard to fill or maintain

17...Violation of the rules or abuse to the facility or staff in any way by the client or member(s) of his/her crew  will result in a choice of fines, suspensions or even total ban of the facility.
